Tiffany Hislop, originally from Townsville, Queensland, commenced full-time training as a contemporary major at Transit Dance in 2016. After three years of study, under the directorship of Paul Malek and Israel Aloni, Tiffany graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) in 2018 and awarded the Most Outstanding Dancer.
During her time at Transit Dance Tiffany has performed in the reprise of Australian Dance Theatre’s Birdbrain by Garry Stewart and was mentored by Daniel Jaber and Lina Limosani. She has also worked with Lee Serle and Lucy Guerin to remount an excerpt of Weather by Lucy Guerin Inc as part of the Transit International Professional Pathway in 2018.
Recent choreographic collaborations include Colossus with Stephanie Lake as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival 2018, Say Something presented with Transit Dance for Adelaide Dance Festival and Soliloquy performed alongside Stephanie Lake and Genevieve Lacey under the direction of Gideon Obarzanek. Her training has also lead her to perform in a double-bill (Maturus) by Israel Aloni and Stephanie Lake in which toured to Townsville in 2018.
Further artists both national and international that Tiffany has worked with include Chris Evans, Keren Rosenberg, Graham Adey and Odelya Kuperberg as well as Jo Lloyd (Panorama, 2017), Daniel Jaber (Sylphs, 2016) and Paea Leach (An Ecology and a Ritual, 2016).
Throughout and after her studies, Tiffany has worked alongside Paul Malek and Jayden Hicks to create new dance works with Origins Dance Company. She has also assisted in the creation of the recently established Transit’s Regional Creative Project in 2019. Tiffany continues to teach within the Melbourne community choreographing and teaching workshops.
