Join Origins Dance Company Director, Jayden Hicks in this complimentary 2 hour contemporary dance masterclass. Jayden will share his love of technique, creative processes, speak on the vision of ODC and our exciting plans for 2019. This workshop is open to any past, present or future Origins dancer wanting to find out more about Origins Dance Company and will also serve as a audition to join our 2019 company.
Origins Dance Company is thrilled to be collaborating with international youth dance company, YDance. Young Artists will be travelling from Scotland and making a new work in collaboration with Jayden and YDance Artistic Director, Anna Kenrick. Dancers will commence creation of the work from their respective countries via a “pen pal” system. They will share insight into the creative process of Origins Dance Company and Transit Dance, give tasks to company dancers to complete in their company rehearsals and engage in dialogue about the new work.
TRANSIT DANCE COMPANY is looking for professional Contemporary Dance Artists, 22+ years old with strong understanding of Contemporary Dance Practice. All gender welcome for an up-coming paid project development and production season over December and January, with further contract opportunities in March/April and May/June.

Transit Origins Academy is designed to cater for exceptional young dance artists who are at Year 9 to 12 secondary school education level. Specialising in professional development for Contemporary Dance and the Performing Arts; Transit Origins Academy is a high school alternative that guides students successfully through their crucial years of secondary education and elite dance training.
Transit Dance continues $74,000 initiative encouraging males into dance training.
Two lucky male dancers will be awarded the fellowship honour every year, which will help them financially achieve their professional development in dance through Transit Dance. The Transit Fellowship is valued at a total of almost $75,000 and is aimed at male dancers aged 17 and over who would like elite dance training.
