Jayden Hicks announced as Director, and a new Ballet stream added for 2018
Many of you will already be familiar with Transit Dance’s youth component Origins Extension Program and Dance Company. We are so proud of these programs that have been delivering high level contemporary dance training to school aged students across the state for the last three years.
As our fourth year of operation approaches, we felt it was time for us to revise and reinvigorate our Origins programs with some exciting new changes to our course structure and even our fees.
But one of the biggest developments is that as of 2018 Jayden Hicks will be joining Transit Dance in a full time capacity as the Director of Origins Extension Program and Artistic Director of Origins Dance Company.
Jayden comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the professional dance arena and will work closely with myself and our operational teams on the growth and evolution of the Origins programs. This is an exciting development for Transit as a whole, and we can’t wait to officially welcome Jayden to his new role.
We are also excited to introduce a brand new program in 2018, the Origins Classical Ballet Extension Pathway. This will be Directed by our Head of Ballet Development here at Transit, Daniel Jaber and is a program designed to deliver the highest standard of Classical Ballet training. This program will be held on Monday evenings, following similar time commitments as Contemporary Extension.
