Transit Dance Careers Day
The Transit Career Day is a FREE, one-day event for high school & dance studio groups (groups of 10 or more) who have students with an interest in the performing arts industries and how Transit Dance can help guide them towards their future career.
Hosted at the beautiful Transit Dance facilities and led by leading industry professionals, this unique event provides students with valuable information and insight into Pre-professional level training through a series of performances, seminars and workshops.
PERFORMANCE: Each day commences with an exclusive 60 minute live performance by our Pre Professional students in the Transit Dance Theatre. Featuring a curated selection of Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Commercial dance works created by our very own faculty. These performances are designed to expose, inspire and demonstrate the versatility of training we offer.
INFORMATION SESSION/Q&A: Following the performance students have the opportunity to engage with the choreographers and cast in a 30 minute Q&A & information session.
CAMPUS TOUR & INFORMATION SESSION: Join our Head of Admissions for a guided tour of our facilities. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions and get advice about applying to Transit Dance, whilst providing valuable insight into the courses and programs we offer.
WORKSHOP: The afternoon sees students participate in a series of two 75 minute workshops with leading choreographers and Course Directors Paul Malek (Contemporary) and Kim Adam (Jazz). These informative masterclasses offer students an insight into our world class coaching and education methods in a fun and inclusive environment.
