Transit Dance 2019 Season Program
As a performance based training institution, Transit Dance delivers in excess of 15 performance seasons and over 50 individual performances each year. Ranging from Contemporary Dance works by some Australia’s finest choreographers, to Musical Theatre productions for audiences of all ages.
In 2019 Transit Dance will be presenting new works by Transit Dance Company, Origins Dance Company, the Pre Professional Contemporary & Performing Arts pathways, and a slew of emerging choreographers.

Transit Origins Academy are thrilled to present their mid year showcase, DAWN. Featuring a selection of self devised and choreographed works highlighting their time within the Academy so far.
We invite all friends and family to join us for a fun and relaxed night of dance and performance.
Origins Dance Company presents an original double bill titled EDIFICE choreographed by innovative Melbourne choreographers Amber McCartney and Lachlan Hall.
Origins Dance Company is a not for profit youth dance company that exposes participants to the world of contemporary dance creation. These dancers involved are between 11-21 and trained on Sundays for eight weeks to develop these two diverse and innovative works.
Transit Dance Performing Arts is proud to present the second season for 2019, FLASH. Delving head first into everyones favourite decade, FLASH is a non stop thrill ride through outer space and the 1980's.
Featuring hit after hit of the music we all love to love, this camp triple bill sees the Transit PA Pre Professional and Graduate students rocking out new works by Melbourne choreographers Kim Adam, Darren Tyler and Michael Ralph.

Celebrating our fifth MIDPOINT season, this special performance sees our Contemporary Diploma and Graduate students perform in three new works by Artistic Director Paul Malek, Paea Leach (EASTMAN, ADT) and Alya Manzart (CHUNKY MOVE).
Borderline is an international youth dance collaboration between Origins Dance Company (AUS) and the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland (UK).
Performed as part of a triple bill of contemporary youth works, Borderline see dancers from opposite sides of the globe unite and explore the concept of boundaries through unique and intriguing movement.
