Transit Creative
Project
The Transit Creative Project is one of Australia’s leading holiday intensives for dancers 12 – 25 years old.
Taking place over four days, this workshop based project sees participants work with renowned Australian choreographers to create and rehearse an original 20-minute dance work. These works are then presented onstage at the conclusion of the week in a full scale performance in our very own Transit Dance Theatre.
This is a unique opportunity for emerging young artists to work closely with the Transit Dance creative team and gain valuable insight into a professional creative process in a non-competitive and collaborative environment.
The project is held twice per year at Transit Dance Brunswick, and students have the option to participate in either a Performing Arts (Jazz), or Contemporary Creative Project.
In 2019, the Transit Creative Project was nominated for Outstanding Acheivement in Community Dance at the Australian Dance Awards.
