OPUS (Shepparton)

Following a four day creative dance workshop, participating students will showcase a piece created and devised by themselves under the guidance of the choreographers at Transit Dance.

After the interval, Transit Dance Company will perform the contemporary dance epic, Opus. Set to the music of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, this athletic piece explores the physical representation of work. 

Showing gritty, heavy, rough and primitive movement qualities, paired with classic contemporary and balletic lines, this juxtaposition clashes effort with effortlessness and produces a visually captivating quality of movement.

Created by emerging choreographer and Transit Dance Associate Director, Jayden Hicks, this performance is an exciting marriage between movement and music that is sure to have you captivated.
