Experience a vibrant multi-evening performance season celebrating original work across Transit Dance's High School Academy, Pre-Professional Contemporary, Performing Arts and Musical Theatre programs.
The Artists is an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable individuality of each cohort, showcasing self-devised solos, original ensemble works, workshop presentations, and new choreography by both emerging artists and leading creative staff. Each evening presents a distinct program, highlighting the diverse voices, creative practices, and performance pathways that define the Transit community.
Whether you're attending a single performance or joining us across multiple evenings, The Artists offers a unique opportunity to experience the next generation of performers and makers as they share bold new work in an immersive studio setting.
Event Schedule:
Wednesday 16 September – High School Academy
Featuring original solo works by every Academy dancer, alongside a group performance choreographed by Jessica Frost.
Thursday 17 September – Pre-Professional Contemporary
Showcasing self-devised solo works by our second-year students, original group works created by the third-year cohort, a new first-year group work choreographed by Honey Stoove, a new second-year group work by Kaitlin Malone, and a new third-year work choreographed by Jayden Hicks.
Friday 18 September – Performing Arts & Musical Theatre (Show 1)
Featuring a workshop presentation of Company by our second-year Musical Theatre students, dance solos by Performing Arts second and third years (Cast 1), cabaret-style vocal performances by first-year Musical Theatre students (Cast 1), and a new group work for Performing Arts first years choreographed by graduate Izzy Gorzdanovski.
Saturday 19 September – Performing Arts & Musical Theatre (Show 2)
Featuring a workshop presentation of The Witches of Eastwick by our second-year Musical Theatre students, dance solos by Performing Arts second and third years (Cast 2), cabaret-style vocal performances by first-year Musical Theatre students (Cast 2), and a new group work for Performing Arts second years choreographed by Jayden Hicks.
Sunday 20 September – Performing Arts & Musical Theatre (Show 3)
Featuring dance solos by Performing Arts second and third years (Cast 3), cabaret-style vocal performances by first-year Musical Theatre students (Cast 3), and encore performances of the Performing Arts works choreographed by Izzy Gorzdanovski and Jayden Hicks.
