Tr.IPP Event

  • Transit Dance Level 2, 10 Elizabeth Street Kensington VIC Australia (map)

Tr.IPP EVENT is an alternative platform for performance and presentation of performative acts and pieces at various stages of their development. This is a monthly event which involves exposure and exchange of concepts and contents developed within the continuous artistic practice of Tr.IPP (Transit International Professional Pathway) and/or by its participating cohort as well as performative acts by the interstate and international guest artists who work with Tr.IPP throughout the year.

All income from Tr.IPP EVENTS will be invested in the activities of the Tr.IPP cohort and their artistic practices.

The presentation will be between 60-90 min with a lead up and a closure consisting of community interaction and open bar.

This Tr.IPP EVENT we will share excerpts from the first development of 'RIPE' by Israel Aloni, Artistic Director of Tr.IPP. RIPE examines the intersections between self discovery and the emancipation of individual artists in the oceanic realm of social expectations and demand.

Kady MansourJennifer Ma and Vanessa Northcott, artists in the Tr.IPP cohort, will share the current stages of projects that they are individually developing. Mansour is presenting a durational improvisation deriving scores from an encounter she had with a customer at a bar. Ma is collaborating with Melbourne-based freestyle dance artist, David Leupolu, investigating on how cultural barriers influence ideas of time and love. Furthermore, Northcott is developing a visual art expression purely consisting of a growing collection of Tea Tags. Tr.IPP is also proud to be supporting #ARTISLEGIT, a campaign led by Kayla Douglas, at this upcoming event.
