Cass Mortimer Eipper joins Transit for March
We are pleased to announce that the exceptional dance creative prowess of Cass Mortimer Eipper will be joining the Transit Dance Community over the next 4 weeks of March working on a plethora of excited new projects across our platforms.
Cass trained at The Australian Ballet School and has performed with West Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, and was co-director of the Australian dance/media company, Ludwig.
In 2015, he won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Male Dancer in William Forsythe’s Quintett. His other awards include ‘Most Outstanding Performance’ at the Rome International Choreography Competition for Solo 1.5, which was also presented at the renowned ImPulsTanz Festival, Vienna.
Eipper has created work for Sydney Dance Company, Milwaukee Ballet, West Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, Link Dance Company, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Ludwig and “So You Think You Can Dance Australia”, and has collaborated on music clips with Katie Noonan, Ben Folds and James Michael Thompson.
Eipper’s films have been presented internationally, including his dance film, “Brute,” which will be presented at the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in March 2019.
Whilst at Transit Dance Cass will create a brand-new work with our Contemporary Graduate Program which will premiere in our upcoming Pre-Professional Season, DOTH alongside work from Daniel Jaber and Paul Malek in the first week of April.
He will also be holding a number of Workshops and Masterclasses within our Diploma Program.
To top it all off, Eipper will be working with our very own Transit Dance Company on an exciting new dance on film project during his time with us at Transit Dance.
There are so many vibrant projects filling our precinct already in 2019, we know Cass will add greatly to this eclectic mix of artistic goodness.
