Important announcement - Upcoming Performances & Term Break

Tuesday 17th March 2020

Dear Transit Dance community,

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - UPCOMING PERFORMANCES & TERM BREAK

In light of recent recommendations from the Federal Government regarding COVID-19, non-essential gatherings and social distancing, we have made some tough but necessary decisions about the following month of operations here at Transit Dance. These decisions have been made in the interest of our community and students health and welfare at this time.

Details of changes;

  1. UPCOMING PERFORMANCES: We will be postponing the upcoming Pre Professional performance seasons of BABEL & SWING, scheduled to take place on 1 - 4 April 2020. These performances will now be rescheduled to take place at the end of Term 2, 1 - 4 July 2020. All current ticket holders will be emailed directly regarding transfer of tickets and/or refunds.

  1. TERM BREAK: As a precautionary measure, we will be finishing the current term for ALL Transit Dance courses one week early, whilst also increasing the term holidays to a total of three weeks. This will make the final day of Term 1 Friday 20th March 2020, with Term 2 recommencing on 14th April 2020. We will be working to reschedule the missed week of classes at certain points throughout the year. Please note: For full time students, this new start date for Term 2 is one week earlier than previously stated in our school calendar.

We thank you for your understanding and patience with these challenges. We send all our best wishes to all of our community and families during this difficult time and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

We will continue to update you with any changes or alterations to our year based on the guidance from our government and department of education.

For more information about COVID-19, please visit the DHHS website or call the the Coronavirus Hotline 1800 675 398

Wishing you all the best.

Kindest Regards,

Paul Malek, Artistic Director
