Delta Goodrem & Kelly Rowland give thumbs up to Transit Dance routine

Last weekend Transit Dance Company and our Transit Origins Academy took part in the ONE Melbourne bushfire relief fundraiser. Performing two stunning routines choreographed by Artistic Director Paul Malek, the response from the audience was overwhelming.

In particular, the opening work by Transit Dance Company seemed to resonate strongly with the crowd. Choreographed to the song Let it Rain by Delta Goodrem, and featuring company dancers Lachlan Hall, Alycia Siomos and Abby Chappell, this stunning routine based around a family affected by the fires brought the audience to tears.

And then in the late hours of last night we received one more HUGE accolade…

That’s right. Delta Goodrem herself posted the Transit Dance Company routine to her song Let it Rain on her instagram. STUNNING” she remarked on her story, as hundreds of comments accumulated on her instagram post.

One notable comment from the one and only Kelly Rowland “This is SO BEAUTIFUL”.

Humbled by this wonderful recognition, Artistic Director Paul Malek remarked

“We are so honoured to have had Delta share this work. Her lyrics resonated so much with us all at Transit Dance, with so many of our friends and community affected by the recent fires.

This piece was created to highlight the ideas of hope, community and renewal in these challenging times. We are so proud of this work, and forever grateful for the support we are receiving.”
