Elevate Training program

Elite Training for Students 13 – 25 Years Old

The Elevate Training Program is an intensive, one-day-per-week program designed for dedicated young dancers looking to refine their technique, expand their artistic development, and prepare for professional pathways in dance. This specialised training program offers three streams—Contemporary Dance, Performing Arts (Jazz) and Musical Theatre (NEW in 2026)—allowing students to focus on their preferred style while receiving elite coaching from industry-leading professionals.

Developed to mirror the structure of full-time training, Elevate bridges the gap between recreational dance and pre-professional study. With small class sizes, world-class faculty, and a strong focus on performance, the program accelerates technical and creative growth, equipping students with the tools needed for success in higher-level training and professional careers.

  • This pathway is designed for dancers looking to develop versatility, stage presence, and dynamic performance skills across a range of styles. Training focuses on:

    • Jazz Technique & Commercial Dance – Building strength, style, and versatility.

    • Musical Theatre & Performance – Enhancing expression, storytelling, and stage presence.

    • Lyrical & Ballroom Foundations – Developing musicality, precision, and dynamic movement.

    • Strength & Conditioning – Supporting physical endurance and injury prevention.

    •  Industry Guest Workshops – Learning from acclaimed choreographers and professional performers.

  • This stream is ideal for dancers looking to refine cutting-edge contemporary technique and develop their unique artistic voice. Training focuses on:

    • Contemporary Floorwork & Improvisation – Mastering dynamic movement, transitions, and partnering skills.

    • Choreography & Creative Tasking – Developing individual artistic expression.

    • Ballet & Technical Refinement – Strengthening foundational technique and control.

    • Tumbling & Duo Work – Expanding movement possibilities and floorwork dynamics.

    • Industry Guest Workshops – Gaining insight from leading contemporary artists.

  • For students passionate about triple-threat training, this stream provides a well-rounded curriculum in acting, singing, and dance to develop confident, stage-ready performers. Training focuses on:

    • Vocal Training & Repertoire – Strengthening technique, control, range, and storytelling through song.

    • Acting for Musical Theatre – Developing stage presence, character work, and performance skills.

    • Musical Theatre Dance – Training in jazz, ballet, and theatrical dance styles tailored for stage performance.

    • Industry Audition Preparation – Coaching in vocal, acting, and dance audition techniques.

    • Industry Guest Workshops – Learning from musical theatre professionals, casting directors, and creatives.

    Video Submission & Trial Class Audition: Available Anytime

  • Entry to these programs is by Application, Audition and Interview. Auditions take place every two months and consist of technique, choreography and interview components, conducted by Transit Dance directors and core faculty. Video Auditions and Trial Classes are also available on a case by case basis

The Elevate Training Program provides more than just technique—it creates a real-world, industry-aligned training experience that prepares students for the next stage in their dance journey.

Through two full-scale productions per year, students gain professional-level stage experience, developing confidence and performance skills in front of live audiences. The program also offers mentorship from leading industry figures, helping dancers refine their artistry and understand the professional dance landscape. With exposure to the highest standards of technical training and industry expectations, Elevate is the ideal stepping stone for dancers looking to transition into pre-professional or full-time training.

Career Pathways.

Graduates of the Elevate Training Program have successfully transitioned into full-time pre-professional training programs, university performing arts courses, and professional performance opportunities. Many go on to join Transit Dance’s Pre-Professional Contemporary, Performing Arts, or Musical Theatre programs, while others secure placements in elite dance and musical theatre institutions, commercial productions, and touring companies.

This program provides the essential skills, discipline, and performance experience to support long-term career development in the performing arts industry.
