Transit Dance Company returns with Paul Malek's latest work, Before You Forget Me. Performed by Kristen Cafari, Jack Birdseye and Anjelica Menta with Music by Rafael Krux and David Krulic. Malek delves curiously into the mind with an exploration into the psychology of self. ‘Even if you will be gone soon, will we ever be apart'
Join us in celebrating the participants of the Transit Creative Project in a very special one-off performance. Rehearsed and developed over the course of four days, the participants of the Transit Creative Project will showcase their artistry in the moving new work, 'LOVE IS..' choreographed by Paul Malek and Bradley Chatfield. An exploration of the heart, what drives us and how we share it.
The evening will also feature a special guest performance by the Transit Dance Contemporary artists with a brand new work devised by Paul Malek, Bradley Chatfield and Lachlan Hall. A true collaboration and exciting presentation of physicality, prowess and untamed exuberance. This promises to be an incredible night of dance for the whole family.

Each project takes place over four days at Transit Dance Brunswick, with participants working with renowned Australian choreographers in a series of intensive workshops to create an original 20-minute work. These works are then presented onstage as part of a double bill with the Transit Pre Professional students at the conclusion of the week.
This year dancers can participate in a Performing Arts (Jazz) Creative Project choreographed by Kim Adam (18-21 Jan), and/or a Contemporary Creative Project choreographed by Paul Malek & Bradley Chatfield (24-28 Jan). Students can enrol in one, or both projects!
This unique and rewarding experience provides participants with insight into the creative process whilst fostering a sense of community and belonging.

The evening will also feature a special guest performance by the Transit Dance Pre Professional students with their production MR TIME MACHINE, also choreographed by Kim Adam. This promises to be an incredible night of dance for the whole family.

EVOLUTION by Transit Origins Elevate & Extensions is a showcase of all that has been achieved by our community this year. TECHNO FREAK is a collection of works created by the Transit Dance faculty inspired by Social Media and Technology. Featuring works by Jayden Hicks, Paul Malek, Kim Adam, Bradley Chatfield, Yuiko Masukawa, Leah Hamlet, Lachlan Hall, Kaitlin Malone and Oliver Sievers, this will be a dynamic performance that showcases the dancers strength and versatility.
We are thrilled to have this talented group of young artists back on stage in our first live performance season since 2019.
This FREE informal showcase is a demonstration of what has been accomplished by the Transit Origins students during Term 1 and 2 of 2021. Featuring a series of dance presentations by Transit Origins Extension and Transit Origins Elevate, along with special guest performances by Transit Dance Pre Professional Contemporary and Performing Arts, this special event is not to be missed.
